switching wordpress to PHP 8.2

I switched my server’s PHP version to 8.2 via the included CPanel configuration UI included in my webhosting.

And wordpress didn’t work anymore. It stated „mysqli is not available“.

It wasn’t. In cPanel it said PHP 8.2 and mysqlnd (not mysqli). I learned from https://joomla.stackexchange.com/questions/32114/what-is-the-difference-between-mysqli-and-mysqlnd-php-extensions:

Switching to PHP 8.2 needs to have packages mysqlnd and nd_mysqli to be active.
